Australia 0-3 Spain - Juan Mata, Fernando Torres and David Villa all score as champions go home :-

Goals from David Villa, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata meant Spain were left with a wry smile at least as they disembarked from this month's World Cup.

The defending world champions scored one before half-time and twice afterwards as Australia became open at the back.

It means Vicente Del Bosque's side won't finish at the foot of Group B, with that ignominy reserved for the Aussies - despite their gallant performances in all three defeats.
